PROFESSIONAL DANCE EDUCATION

The two full time educational branches „Street Style pedagogy program“ (2 years) and „Professional stage dance and teaching program“ (3 years) have been goverment-founded since 2002.
Our perspective on professional dance is decisive for the goals and contents of our academy. We consider dance to be an embodied craft. This provides artisitc talent, creativity and courage. Professional dancers are professional athletes aswell as artists, and like these you can only reach a professional level if your are in a very good physical condition and started your training in chidlhood. Our team is willing to work together with you to become an excellent dancer and teacher!
But above all the technical contents, the educational goals are about respect and team spirit aswell as learning about, giving to and honouring the culture that a dance comes from!
Dance Performances
2 YEARS STREET STYLE* PEDAGOGY PROGRAM AT THE DANCEEMOTION ACADEMY
*Due to the negative connotation oft the term „Urban“, we use the term „Street Style“ as umbrella for all the dance styles we teach.
This program adresses to dancers who want to turn their hobby into a career.
It has been developed specially for teaching in dance studios, associations, schools and all institutions offering urban dance classes. The subjects are HipHop, Locking, House (Afro House), Popping, DanceHall, New Style, LA Style, Breakdance and Freestyle.
We focus a thorough and overlapping dance training. Therefore it is important for us that our students broaden their repertoire of movement and motion by contemporary, jazz and ballet. In addition there are subjects such as training methods, anatomy, pedagogy and dance history as well as teaching observations and teaching presentations. Part of the pedagogical training is also preparation of choreographies and assistance at rehearsals and performances.
For very ambitious students we offer the opportunity to gain stage experience in our company DE Squad.

It is possible to audition by video if you are unable to attend one of our dance auditions please audition by video.
Show us the following HipHop styles (1,5 Minutes long): HipHop-New Style, Popping, Locking, House (and Krump, B-Boying etc.).
Please send us the following information with your link: A copy of your CV with your full name, address, date and place of birth, education and dance experience. Plus a motivation letter for the faculty explaining your reasons as to why you want to become a professional dance artist.
