The DanceEmotion Academy vocational school for stage dance invites you to an unforgettable evening of dance full of expression, diversity and creativity!

Whether rhythmic isolations, floating lightness or robot-like movement studies - the dancers of the DanceEmotion Academy inspire with technical brilliance, innovative ideas and extraordinary stage presence.
In our winter performance, we present works by choreographers Vivian Navega, Christina Schnock, Erika Correa, Ivan Korneev, Yassine Barbouchi, Rando Castillo and Katya Ostrovski.

Sven Niemeyer - Guest Teacher
DanceEmotion Academy
Sven Niemeyer trained as a musical performer and dancer in Hamburg, Munich and Los Angeles. After almost 20 years in over 50 productions on stage or in front of the camera, he now devotes himself mainly to his work as a choreographer. His most important works include the operas 'Der Kaiser von Atlantis' and 'Il trionfo del Tempo e del disinganno' (Hamburg State Opera), the dance theaters 'Conversation with dead people' (Sprechwerk Hamburg), 'Vivaldi's Last Dance', 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and 'Amazonia' (Philharmonie Luxembourg) as well as the musicals 'High Fidelity' (Altonaer Theater), 'Rent' (Gruenspahn Hamburg), 'Zorro', 'Catch me if you can' and 'Hair' (Burgfestspiele Jagsthausen).
In 2017, Sven Niemeyer staged (wrote, directed, choreographed) the dance short film KALT, which was shown at numerous internationally renowned festivals (including Dance on Camera New York) and received awards such as 'Best Film' and 'Best Choreography'. In addition, he has been working as a choreographer for the cruise ship MS Artania - known from the ARD documentary 'Verrückt nach Meer' - since 2018.
He is regularly invited as a guest lecturer for dance at professional academies in Germany and abroad and has taught in Moscow, Paris, Amsterdam and San Francisco, for example.
Sven is also a sought-after juror for dance and theater competitions throughout Europe.
